Straying versus staying…

This is a good one….

Monogamy is a funny word. It shares a prefix with monotonous, monochrome and monobrow. None of which do anything to make the practice of staying with one partner sound very appealing.

And these days with both men and women earning more and caring less about about religious and societal traditions, is the very idea of monogamy out of date?

Monogamy is the custom or condition of having only one mate in a relationship, thus forming a couple. The word monogamy comes from the Greek word monos, which means one or alone, and the Greek word gamos, which means marriage or union. Serial monogamy is having no more than one sexual partner at a time but allows for multiple partners in a lifetime. In western culture serial monogamy is common with individuals before they start a family, due to divorce rates.

Whether you realized or not, your decision for staying (or straying) in a relationship is the result of your subconcious mind. Therefore you cannot deny your subconcious mind, and should reprogram it when you dont like it.

7 signs of your mate thinking of straying….

1. crying out for help

2. sudden change/interest in appearance –> e.g: coloring hair

3. unconstructive criticism –> e.g: get a job! loose weight!

4. Guilt Gift –> diamond bracelet, state of NY… hmmm sounds interresting

5. snubbed by his friends/colleagues

6. Sneaking

7. History repeats itself….

I always think that I’m a monogamy type, the one who will stay instead of stray…. But lately I don’t see it that way. Now that I’m close to someone, and that he loves me… Why am I still thinking about other men? Why am I looking for his flaws, like finding a way to get away from this relationship???

This is weird. Maybe I am the one who will stray after all….
